Over the last thirty years or so we've experimented with many types of pre-formed nails. Some sound and perform much better than others. A few work really well. Some of the important things we consider are diversity of tone, overall sound (timbre), durability, and ease of application. The nails we carry are the best that we've tried. All have distinct characteristics that make them unique, and they all perform really well for the guitar.
Similar to the "FX1 Monster" but not quite as wide. So as the "FX1" is primarily used for the thumb, the "FX2" can be used with the fingers. This is a great nail if you want a very durable pre-formed nail. Can be cut to match any finger width. Applied correctly, this nail has a really nice sound with good diversity of tone.
You can use the "well" (the thin part of the nail at the base) for covering your natural nail, and the thicker part as only free nail, or you can trim it off before application.
Your goal is to get the Guitar Player Nail to fit the curve and contour of your natural nail as close as possible before application. Dry fit the nail to check before application.
