Over the last thirty years or so we've experimented with many types of pre-formed nails. Some sound and perform much better than others. A few work really well. Some of the important things we consider are diversity of tone, overall sound (timbre), durability, and ease of application. The nails we carry are the best that we've tried. All have distinct characteristics that make them unique, and they all perform really well for the guitar.
This is one of the widest, thickest pre-formed nails available. Pretty much indestructable. This nail is primarily designed for use as a thumbnail. If you learn to use it correctly, (which is not too difficult) it makes an almost indestructible, great sounding thumbnail. As with all of our other nails, it can be cut and shaped to your own preferences. You can use the "well" (the thin part of the nail at the base) for covering your natural nail, or you can cut it off before application.
Your goal is to get the Guitar Player Nail to fit the curve and contour of your natural nail as close as possible before application. Dry fit the nail to check before application.
